This vintage Taxco, Mexico sterling silver ring features a captivating carnelian stone and the iconic Taxco eagle mark dated ‘198’. The ring is hallmarked with ‘925’, confirming its sterling silver composition. Dating back to the period between 1955 and 1970, this piece showcases the artistry of Taxco silversmithing. Weighing approximately 6.4 grams, the ring is a size 5 1/5 and boasts a unique design with an oval-shaped band measuring 4.7mm wide at the back and 27mm x 20mm at the top. A bezel-set carnelian, tested and measuring approximately 15.5mm x 11.5mm, serves as the centerpiece of this elegant ring. Though showing signs of wear consistent with its age, the ring remains in nice condition and is fully functional.
