Vintage Native American Necklace with Turquoise & Onyx Pendant – Melon Beads, 21″ Chain
This vintage Native American old pawn necklace is a unique and striking piece of jewelry. Unmarked, it weighs approximately 38.1 grams and measures about 21 inches in length with a hook clasp. The necklace features wonderful antiqued bend beads measuring approximately 8.4mm x 7.6mm and two decorated melon beads measuring about 19.6mm x 6.4mm each, adorned with sunrises. A captivating pendant dangles from the center, measuring approximately 3 1/4 inches from the top of the bale to the bottom of the dangles. The pendant swivels, offering the option of wearing it in two distinct styles. One side showcases a beautiful blue turquoise bezel-set stone, while the other features a polished onyx plaque. The turquoise measures approximately 28mm x 14.5mm x 6mm thick, and the onyx measures about 1 5/8″ x 7/8″ x 4.2mm thick. The bezel setting is also antiqued. Although it has been worn, this necklace is in very nice condition and good working order, making it a rare and special find.
