Vintage Franklin Mint German Deutsche Mark Watch – 1991 Quartz, Gold Plated & Sterling Silver Dial
This intriguing quartz wristwatch, crafted in 1991 by the Franklin Mint, is a collectible timepiece known as the “Die Deutsche Mark Uhr.” The watch has recently been fitted with a new battery and is keeping excellent time. The stainless steel case back retains its protective cellophane seal and showcases a detailed inscription. The watch features a 33.90 mm outer diameter case, measuring 7.0 mm in thickness. Constructed from base metal with a handsome gold plating, the case houses a sterling silver (.925) dial adorned with gold vermeil accents. The watch strap, likely leather or man-made, is in good condition and adjustable to fit wrists between 6 1/2″ and 7 3/4″. While the crystal exhibits a few minor scratches and a small chip (visible in the photos), this timepiece remains a stylish and unique addition to any collection.
