Antique Waltham Hunt Case Pocket Watch – 14K Gold Filled, Diamond Accent, c. 1899
This antique Waltham hunt case pocket watch is a striking piece with a tri-color (yellow, green, rose) 14K gold filled case exhibiting beautiful detail. A natural diamond accents the center of the outer back cover. The case measures 37.25 mm in diameter and the watch, with covers closed, is 11.5 mm thick. All covers open and close smoothly with tight hinges. There are no dents or scratches on the case.
While the crystal and dial are in nice condition, the watch runs haltingly and does not set. The movement serial number, 9315666, dates it to 1899 and identifies it as a Seaside Movement Model 1891; Size 0s. This model is listed as a “mixed run” of both 7 and 15 jewels, though the specific jewel count for this watch is unknown.
