Offered is a 1882 first edition, copyrighted in 1881, book titled “Statues, Monuments, and Medals” by Elizabeth Bryant Johnston. The book features original portraits of Washington and was published by James R. Osgood & Co. in Boston, Mass. This volume was stereotyped and printed by Rand, Avery, and Company. The book measures 14 x 11 1/2 x 1 5/8″ and contains 257 printed pages plus several blank pages at the rear. The book is complete with all pages securely connected. While the binding shows signs of age with some loosening from the pages, the bottom end of the spine is rough, and edges have some scrapes, the content remains intact.
