Vintage 1960s-70s Italian Pinocchio Jack in the Box, Handcrafted Wooden Toy
This delightful vintage Pinnochio jack-in-the-box hails from the 1960s or 1970s and boasts a charming handcrafted design. Unmarked and painted in vibrant red and green, this wooden treasure stands approximately 11 inches tall with a 6 1/4 inch square base. The removable lid features a captivating scene of seated Pinocchio alongside a set of blocks, a rocking horse adorned with a chenille mane and tail, and two flat rocking horses. Each side of the box is recessed, showcasing the letters ‘A, B’ and additional charming details. Lifting the top with its red ribbon reveals the delightful toy scene inside. While it may benefit from some re-gluing, this piece is in nice condition and radiates undeniable vintage charm. It has been identified as being made in Italy, similar to other examples of this unique find.
